| history |
When she was young, Rose was never the most outgoing child in the neighborhood. No, she preferred to sit by herself, reading books, and drawing pictures. Was she anti-social? Of course not. She just thought that most of the other children were, well...maybe beneath her is a harsh term, but being brought up under such strict rules by her parents, the things that some children got away with were off putting to the young girl. She wouldn't dream of coming home with her dress that dirty, or her hair that messy. Yes, Rose was a bit of a snob when she was younger, holding herself on a very high pedistal, and only a select few were good enough for her to have a conversation with. But, she found that no one had any clue what she was talking about half the time, but they were always awed by whatever came out of her mouth. She felt smart, when they asked questions, but always answered them as if they should have already known the answer. Needless to say, she was a bit of a brat. But, she grew out of this stage for the most part. She matured, but so did her fascination with understanding anything and everything. If she didn’t understand something, she got upset, and would spend hours and the library, trying to find the answer she was looking for. After the local librarian noticed what kind of books the teenage girl was checking out, he recommended a course in Psychoanalysis, figuring that with her drive to figure things out, that career would be rather fitting. So, she took the old man’s advice, and when her High School days were over, she went to Oxford to get a degree in Psychological Medicine and Social Psychiatry. She fell in love with each of her courses, and was glad to finally find a place people who were interested in the same things as she was. It wasn’t long after she graduated that she was presented with an offer to work at Chesire Crossings. She had heard about this place, and jumped at the opportunity. A few weeks later, she had set herself up in her office, and has been working there ever since. |
